Here are a few things you can do to help your carpet dry faster and avoid any issues after we’ve completed your cleaning:
🌀 To Speed Up Drying:
- Set your thermostat to around 72°F — or open windows if weather allows and outside humidity is low.
- If your system has a humidifier, turn it off.
- Set the fan control on your thermostat to “On” (instead of “Auto”).
- Use ceiling fans, making sure the air is blowing downward.
- Turn on air conditioning, heater or a dehumidifier, if available.
- Place floor fans in the room to help circulate air.
- Avoid removing the plastic protectors under furniture legs until the carpet is completely dry.
- We recommend waiting a few days to allow any trapped moisture to fully evaporate and avoid potential rust or staining.
- Wait at least 24 hours before replacing furniture or area rugs.
👣 Walking on Damp Carpet:
- If possible, stay off the carpet until dry.
- If you must walk on it:
- Use clean white socks, slippers, or ask us for a pair of footies.
- Avoid dirty shoes — if needed, wipe the soles with a damp cloth before walking on the carpet.
- Caution: Carpet can be slippery when stepping onto tile or wood floors — take extra care to prevent falls!
After 24-48 hours, be sure to vacuum your newly cleaned carpet!
